2020 Clean 50 Top Project

The Clean50 Top Project Award celebrates “Canada’s Sustainability Heroes” based on innovation and their ability to inform and inspire Canadians. Kitselas Geothermal has “successfully navigated many government policies and programs before them, setting a course for other geothermal companies to seek permits and begin projects of their own.”

Future of Good's Top 100 Recovery Projects

Fuel for Reconciliation is the first project of its kind in Canada, designed to serve local businesses with renewable, environmentally friendly, and low-cost energy.

“Kitselas Geothermal's mission is to harness the geothermal energy located under the traditional territory of Kitselas First Nations to provide the Nation and the local/regional Terrace and Kitimat-Stikine communities with social, economic, and environmental benefits including economic self-determination, training opportunities, jobs, and clean air.”
